I don’t like to mention the word this early in the autumn – in fact I’m still clinging on to the last vestiges of summer and an occasional paddle – but with a 10-12 week lead time, the Christmas deadline for shutter orders has already passed.
After a quiet few weeks on the survey front, we suddenly had a rush of customers hoping to beat the cut-off date and I’ve been busy over the last week or so surveying and advising, measuring and ordering shutters of all shapes, sizes and colours.
All the orders have been processed – in one case we managed the sales consultation, the survey and the order processing within about eight hours.
With luck they’ll all beat the delivery deadline. One way and another I’ll be very busy in December!
I squeezed in a couple of flatpack jobs, too, including finishing the big building site job.
Now I have some spare capacity for flatpack and other work over the next couple of weeks, then some fairly big shutter jobs to keep me out of mischief.
